NRA BASIC SHOTGUN SHELL RELOADING  INSTRUCTOR COURSE
COURSE DESCRIPTION

Short Description : To develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills,and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Course.

More Details: The course is eight hours long and is conducted by an NRA Training Counselor in a classroom.

Students will learn the following topics:

Lesson 1. Introduction to NRA Basic Shotgun Shell
 Reloading Course Outline and Lesson Plans (30 minutes)

Lesson 2. Teaching Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Lesson I: Introduction to Reloading and Reloading Safety (60 minutes)

Lesson 3. Teaching Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Lesson II: Shotgun Shell Components (60 minutes)

Lesson 4. Teaching Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Lesson III: Using the Reloading Manual and Reloading Data (60 minutes)

Lesson 5. Teaching Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Lesson IV: Shotgun Shell Reloading Equipment (60 minutes)

Lesson 6. Teaching Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Lesson V: Making the First Shotgun Shells (90 minutes)

Lesson 7. Teaching Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading Lesson VI: Course Review and Examination (90 minutes)

PRE-REQUISITES

1) NRA (BIT) Basic Instruction Training must be completed within the 24 months preceding this course

2) Successfully complete the Pre-Course Questionaire

3 Successfully complete the Pre-Course Assessment
Important Note: Safety, adequate training, and the practice of proper techniques constitute the foundation of reloading. For this reason, anyone who wishes to engage in reloading should first become thoroughly familiar with proper reloading procedures (through a training course or other means). Also, reloading should not be undertaken by anyone who cannot devote his or her complete attention to the reloading process. Always consult a current reloading manual published by a reliable source and use only the components specified. Remember to double-check everything!
